Ula Oelsen is a South African film editor specialising in long form and drama. A part time colourist, photographer and honours graduate in psychology and philosophy, occasional writer and passionate musician all ads up to his alternative approach to telling stories.
Ula has been recognised globally for his award-winning editing and is an acronym holder at the guild of editor of South Africa (S.A.G.E.)
In June 2023 he was awarded the ACE - International partner program , part of the American editors guild.
He is the founder and owner of Brightblack pictures.
